The UTSA Institute for Law and Public Affairs’ 2013 SUMMER LAW SCHOOL PREPARATION ACADEMY (SLSPA)
The UTSA Summer Law School Preparation Academy is a premier pre-law program designed to help students successfully apply to and excel in law school. The SLSPA includes 12 credit hours of coursework (that may count towards your legal studies minor) designed to hone the analytical, reading, and writing skills needed to succeed in legal education. SLSPA students receive LSAT preparatory training and attend guest lecturers from visiting law school deans and professors, judges, and practicing attorneys. They also attend information sessions by law-school admission representatives on topics including how to finance law school, prepare an admission portfolio, write personal statements, and others. Students completing the SLSPA earn the Certificate in Legal Reasoning.
