Welcome to the Downtown Makerspace Laser Cutting webpage!
Here at the UTSA Downtown MakerSpace Laser Cutting is a key compenetent used in digital design that significantly enhances education and student engagement with cutting edge technology. Students of UTSA are invited to use the 3D printers using materials such as Cardboard, Basswood, MDF, Acrylic and many more to and understand architectural structures they design through their coursework.
UTSA students utilize the laser cutters, after training, as part of the learning fabrication process, as well as interact with experienced staff members. Faculty & staff are also welcome to experience laser cutting while being assisted by the Downtwon Makerspace staff.
Please feel free to stop by the UTSA Downtown MakerSpace located in the Monterey Building at any time and we will be happy to give you a tour.
