Congratulations to The University of Texas at San Antonio Society of Automotive Engineer’s Baja team who competed in the Baja SAE competition in Portland, Oregon earlier this spring. The team placed 16 out of 100 universities in the rock crawl event, (to see the video here) and placed 39 in the hill climb event (to see the video here). In addition to these two events, there was the 4 hour endurance race on the last day of competition. The team also received 10th place in the cost audit for being the most inexpensive vehicle until a late penalty put them back to 22nd. Overall, a great showing for a team consisting of mainly brand-new members!
