Welcome to the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE). The Department offers degree programs at BS, MS and PhD level in Civil and Environmental Engineering. It provides a learning environment which encourages discovery and advancement for the betterment of its students and the community. Our undergraduate program in civil engineering is ABET accredited, and it prepares students through design and hands-on laboratory courses for future challenges. The research activities at CEE are focused on several areas including geo-materials, structures and environmental engineering. Collaborative research projects with entities and programs inside and outside the campus have enabled our faculty to provide students with opportunities to participate in state of the art and multidisciplinary projects.
The faculty of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering are committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service to the community and the engineering profession. The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department’s mission is to provide our students an education that integrates fundamental science and engineering skills with design principles to solve engineering problems. Our programs provide students opportunities for graduate education, to acquire life-long learning skills, and to participate in research that advances the discipline and benefits society. Students will be prepared to become professional engineers and leaders in the Civil and Environmental Engineering profession.
