Education

     Bachelor of technology (B.Tech) in Manufacturing Engineering from National Institute of Foundry and Forge technology, Ranchi, India (2003-07)
     Currently pursuing my MS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Texas at San Antonio (2007-09)
     Working as a Graduate Research Assistant in Flexible Manufacturing & Lean Systems (FMLS) Laboratory under Prof. F F Chen (Interim Department Head of Mechanical Engineering, UTSA).

 

Projects:

     One Month long project at the Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), New Delhi, under the guidance of Prof. Ravi Shankar.  The project was concerned with the Optimization of system reliability using Hierarchical Particle Swarm Algorithm. (June-July, 2005)
      One month long industrial training in Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC), Ranchi. (June-July, 2006)

 

  Fields of Interest: 

     Integrated Process Planning and Scheduling in manufacturing industries.
     Integrating Production Planning and Tool Planning Problems of FMS.
     Decision making problems in Supply chain management.
     Industrial application of Artificial Intelligence and Optimization Techniques.
     Developing Bio-inspired Evolutionary Algorithms to solve Combinatorial Optimization Problems.
     Web based manufacturing systems using Multi-agent paradigm.
     Designing Holonic Manufacturing Systems for STEP-compliant manufacturing.
     Designing Recurrent Fuzzy systems and Interoperable manufacturing systems. 

 

Academic Achievements:

     Topper of the class in the school education right from 6th to 12th standard.
     Received Certificate of Merit for Excellent Performance in Big Babool Quiz contest conducted by Barry O Brien.
     Receiving a scholarship from Bansilal Sanghavi Prakashak Trust for being the topper of my batch in 10th standard (2000). 
     Acted as Class Captain for six consecutive years i.e. from 6th to 12th standard.

     Programming Languages Known: C, C++, Java, FORTRAN 77 and HTML.

     Coded following algorithms in C++ for my research and project related works.
