The Flexible Manufacturing and Lean
Systems Laboratory (FMLS Lab) is a newly developed
facility of the
Mechanical Engineering
Department at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
As a part of the
Center for Advanced
Manufacturing and Lean Systems (CAMLS), the FMLS lab
supports research and teaching activities in the areas of Flexible
Manufacturing Systems (FMS) and Lean Systems. The lab provides
excellent facility, equipment, and information systems for
hardware-based experiments, computer-based modeling, simulation and
analysis, software tools development, hands-on training and
