Cloud Security Lab

After working four years in Samsung on many interesting security projects especially in the areas of cloud computing, I joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UTSA as an assistant professor in December 2015. I obtained the Master and Ph.D. degrees from Purdue University under the supervision of Prof. Elisa Bertino. When pursuing my degrees I worked as a graduate professional for 5 years at RCAC (Rosen Center for Advanced Computing) developing secure grid computing systems.

My current areas of research interesting are Container Rootkit Detection, secure virtualization, accountable cloud computing, and secure Internet of Things. I am developing interesting kernel rootkits detection tools especially targeting linux-based containers.
