2006 - 2007 Scholarships

Morris R. Pitman Endowed Scholarship

Amount: $1,500 (payable in equal installments during the fall 2006 and spring 2007 semesters)

Qualifications:

  1. Full-time undergraduate student pursuing a degree in engineering, at UTSA.
  2. Demonstrated financial need, as determined by UTSA's Office of Student Financial Aid (International Students on F-1 visa are not eligible).
  3. Must have attained sophomore standing (satisfactory completion of 30 or more semester hours of credit) prior to receipt of the scholarship.
  4. Must be in good academic standing at UTSA, and must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.8.

Application and Supporting Material

  1. Completed College of Engineering General Application Form.
  2. A one-page letter describing accomplishments, financial need and career goals.

Students receiving the scholarship may be considered for subsequent awards should they continue to meet the established criteria.
