2008-2009 Scholarships

All scholarships awarded by the College of Engineering require the recipient to:

  • Be actively pursuing a degree in the College of Engineering and in good academic standing with the University.
  • Be enrolled as an Engineering major
  • Be enrolled as a full-time student (12 semester credit hours for undergraduate students and 9 semester credit hours for graduate students)
  • Meet any other requirements as stated in the scholarship criteria

Award amounts are generally divided equally between the two semesters; and students must meet grade and enrollment requirements to receive the remainder of the award.

All applicants must complete a College of Engineering General Scholarship Application or the application specific to the scholarship and provide required narratives, resumes.

Currently Active Scholarships

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is currently accepting applications for the HACU Scholarship Program for the 2009-2010 academic year. More than $400,000 will be awarded to eligible students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher attending HACU-member colleges and universities. UTSA is a HACU-member. Deadline to apply and submit supporting documents is May 22, 2009. Scholarships will be awarded in the fall.
