
Dr. Eugene John, professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, was one of four UTSA faculty that was awarded the Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award. This award recognizes faculty who deliver the highest quality of undergraduate instruction, demonstrate their commitment to teach, and have a history and promising future of sustained excellence with undergraduate teaching. The award is $25,000 and are believed to be among the highest in the nation for rewarding outstanding undergraduate faculty performance and innovation. Dr. John has 19 years of teaching experience and is continually evolving his teaching based on the assessments of his students’ learning outcomes, evaluations, technological advances, and professional achievement.
