The College of Engineering welcomes engineering students’ parents to Parents Day on 12 – 2 p.m. on April 29, 2014 on the UTSA Main Campus. Parents and families will be able to attend the Tech Symposium which features senior engineering student projects, eat lunch with the dean, go on lab tours, and attend an info session titled Supporting your engineering student.
“The purpose of Parents Day is to engage parents with UTSA and allow them an opportunity to be more involved; specifically, within the College of Engineering,” said development assistant Brian Mannas. “I am excited for COE Parents Day because it is wonderful to watch parents be educated firsthand about what their student is doing at UTSA. Parents are proud of what their student is doing at UTSA and Parents Day allows them to be a part of it.”
According to Mannas, families will be exposed to different areas of COE that will serve as a foundation for conversations about what they and their students will anticipate in the future. The families will also be able to network with other students, staff, faculty and the dean.
