Undergraduate Advising


Advising is a two-step process to be completed at least two weeks before registration officially begins:
  1. Contact one of the two COE Academic Advisors below to have your program screened and pre-approved:

  2. Contact your CEE Faculty advisor, as identified from the following alphabetic list. Once your faculty advisor has approved your program of study, your ASAP hold is released and you can register.
***Spring Faculty Advising Period***:  Undergraduate CEE Students:  Please be reminded of the fall advising period October 19 to October 30, 2009. Registration begins November 2nd.  During this period, your assigned academic advisor (see list below) will review your program of Spring 2010 courses and sign your advising form. Please use the sign up sheets outside individual faculty offices to select the time that suits you.    You need to take this form to the COE advising office (http://engineering.utsa.edu/advising.html ) in order to have your hold unlocked.  Faculty will NOT be available for advising outside this 2-week period.

Civil Engineering Faculty Advisors

Please arrange a meeting with your assigned advisor by signing up on the sheets provided outside each office. If you do not meet with your advisor within the two week long advising period, (specified here: http://engineering.utsa.edu/advising.html) you will have to meet with the Department Chair, Dr. Papagiannakis on either Tuesday from 11-12 or Thursday, 3-4.
