Dear CEE majors:

The new 2008-2010 Undergraduate Catalogue includes a number of changes from the 2006-2008 version. The highlights are:

• CE 3713 (CE Systems) is discontinued.
• CE 4543 (Construction Planning and Management) is discontinued
• CE 4803 (Eng. Practice) is discontinued
• CE 3543 (Project Design and Construction Management) is new and combines the content of the two courses above. You must take this the semester before the CE4813 course.

The COE advising is well aware of these changes and will guide you through course selection for the Fall of 2008. More specifically:

• If you have not taken CE 4803, nor CE 4543, you should take CE 3543 in the Fall of 2008.  You could still take CE 4543 in the Summer and count it towards your electives, if you are under the 08-10 catalog.
• If you have taken already CE 4803 but not CE 4543, you should take CE 4543 in the summer of 2008.
• If you have taken already CE 4543 but not CE 4803, you should take CE 3543 in the Fall of 2008 instead. CE 4543 will count towards your electives, if you are under the 08-10 catalog.

Overall you have to complete the number of credits required by the catalog effective the year you were accepted to the program.  You may do so by taking additional electives.
