Welcome to the College of Engineering at The University of Texas at San Antonio, where education and research are our highest priorities and excellence is the motto. The college is a major public provider of undergraduate and graduate engineering education in South Texas with an enrollment exceeding 3,400 students. We have seen an unprecedented increase of more than 100% in graduate enrollment over the past few years, and we continue to grow steadily. We are one of the top colleges for producing the most Hispanic engineers nationwide.

The Bachelor of Science programs in Biomedical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc., http://www.abet.org.
College of Engineering 5 Year Plan
UTSA has experienced significant growth and achieved several Tier One goals over the past few years. The University has increased graduation rates, recruited top-tier faculty and students, enhanced academic excellence, expanded public and private research partnerships, and received the Carnegie Foundation’s Community Engagement Classification. When developing COE’s 5 Year Plan, we wanted to be sure to our goals in the College of Engineering were consistent with UTSA’s goals as put forth in the 2020Blueprint.

The UTSA 2020 Blueprint will refine and advance the university’s existing strategic plan – A Shared Vision UTSA 2016.
Guided by that 10-year plan, UTSA has experienced significant growth and achieved several Tier One goals.
