ECE Lab 2

Courses in this Lab
In EE Lab 2, students build, test, and experiment with more advanced analog circuits. The lab draws on material covered in EE 4313 Electronic Circuits 2 along with a few ideas from EE 3213 Electromagnetic Engineering. Areas typically covered include: The course is based around the design and implementation of two printed circuit boards, one an audio power amp and the other an RF mixer. Students learn real-world skills when measuring and debugging these circuits.
Students work in groups of 2 or 3 at one of eight lab stations each consisting of the following equipment:
Agilent oscilloscope (top) and Tektronix power triple-output power supply (bottom). Wavetek function generator (top) and Agilent spectrum analyzer (bottom). EE Lab 2 workstation setup. EE Lab 2 The LPKF C-20S PCB prototyping machine.
The LPKF C-20S printed circuit board prototyping machine plus controlling PC. A printed circuit board produced by the LPKF C-20S. PC screen of a printed circuit board about to be milled by the C-20S.
